Recently hired the carpet cleaner and it has done a great job. Found the staff very helpful.
Sat 5th October I hired a sabre cutter from Hire Here Ltd. I needed to cut up an old 1960s galvanised water tank in my attic , so I could remove it via the Stira. A slow and painful task with the hacksaw, no matter how many new blades you have! Being 67 & semi-retired, I was dreading the palaver of that well known Dublin phenomenon, the “trade counter culture” where ordinary domestic DIY guys are ignored and passed over (even derided) by the staff, in favour of the “Real” trade guys. Shabby customer service, staff who can treat you with casual contempt and no sense of accountability – “I just work for them and I knock off at 5!” That’s been my general experience in recent years.
Hire Here just isn’t like that. Its vastly better. Paul, Alan, Graham and Willie were all very patient and helpful. I was treated as human, not as an idiot to be sneered at. They ran me through the workings of the sabre saw and made sure that I was clued into the functions, safety requirements etc. I had the tank cut up in no time, as easy as cutting an ad from a newspaper with a scissors – hard to believe. The rental rate was very reasonable and when I returned the item on Monday morning 7th October, I got a refund for the 3 unused blades. Hire Here Ltd. is an old fashioned, honest-to-God sort of company where common decency, courtesy and real professionalism are still to be found. My experience of Hire Here has been so positive that I feel they richly deserve all the accolades which can be showered on them. Genuinely, well done lads. You get the full 5 stars.
