Like most people, you’d probably like to remove the stump after chopping down a tree in your garden. If you don’t, you’ll continuously have to mow around it, and it can be rather unsightly. There are several different ways to remove a stump, but the fastest and most efficient method is to grind it away using a stump grinder.
The Camon Stump Grinder is a compact machine designed to remove unwanted tree stumps simply, safely and efficiently. All of our stump grinders have the more powerful 13 hp Honda engine. There are lower hp stump grinders on the market, but we feel that having the stronger hp makes the job faster and safer.
It has the benefit of a reliable and powerful Honda petrol engine and a grinding disc that is tipped with 8 durable heavy-duty carbide teeth. For the comfort and safety of the operator, the handlebar is easily adjustable in three positions, and the four lifting handles help make it easy to transport.
The Stump Grinder is only 62cm wide so access shouldn't be a problem, and has the ability to cut stumps up to 55cm above ground and down to 32cm below ground.
Using a stump grinder, you remove the stump from the ground
by first of all tackling the roots. Clear away soil. The stump grinder must not
come into contact with soil, stones or any other debris other than trees. You
should grind across the roots in a sweeping action, angling the machine so that
it grinds 1” down from the top of the roots. Then sweep back across the roots,
at 1” lower than the first pass. Repeat until the roots have been cleared. Once
the roots have been cleared, the trunk should then be approached in the same
way, sweeping across the trunk, grinding 1.5” down each time until the stump
has been removed. This is a professional machines to be used by professionals.
