As one of the longest established tool hire company in Ireland, we have been delivering sustainability benefits to our customers since 1972. Long before the concept of the circular economy became popular, we invested in a range of machines and tools to help towards a more sustainable future.

As a hire company, our business is inherently sustainable. There is a significant difference in terms of environmental impact between our customers buying equipment versus hiring tools and machines from us. The machine and tool hire industry is at the forefront of the carbon reduction movement. Hiring rather than buying ensures that machines and tools are used to their maximum capacity. This protects finite manufacturing resources and limits carbon emissions.

5 Reasons How Our Eco-Friendly Tool and Machine Hire Helps Towards A More Sustainable Future

  1. The Carbon Benefit of Hiring Tools and Machines
  2. Hiring tools and machines generally achieves much higher use rate as they are used by a wide range of customers. This means instead of many people buying many machines, one machine can be used by many people. This reduces the overall amount of tools and machines in circulation which reduces the carbon footprint of manufacturing the tools and machines.

  3. Tool and Machine Maintenance
  4. Our stock of tools and machines are consistently tested and maintained. This extend the life cycle of each machine which extends the use rate.

  5. End-of-Life
  6. When our tools and machines reach their end-of-life, they are either recycled, used for spare-parts or are sold. This extends their useful life. Recycling and selling end of life tools and machines saves on new materials and contributes to lowering emissions.

  7. Finding Alternatives
  8. We are constantly on the lookout for better solutions to the tools and machines we currently offer. We have managed to find electric or battery powered alternatives for 90% of the small petrol and diesel powered machines we have in our fleet

  9. 2 Stroke Equipment
  10. For every traditional 2 stroke machine, we have a battery powered equivalent. For those who still want to use 2 stroke fuel, we offer Aspen fuel which is an Alkylate Petrol. Regular petrol contains harmful substances such as benzene, olefins and aromatics whereas Aspen Alkylate Petrol contains virtually none of these harmful substances. This means it reduces harmful hydrocarbon emissions by up to 99%.
